Bob was born in Davenport, Iowa on September 15, 1946 and passed away in Newbury park on December 16, 2018. Although an attorney by trade, his interests and enjoyment in life went far beyond his work to include just about anything he could do outside, or read about inside. There were many places near and dear to his heart, but perhaps at the top of the list were Idaho and Norway, where he could visit family and friends, fish and just work outside. He couldn't get over the kindness of the people in Africa, and loved Ireland and Paris just for fun.
He leaves behind his wife Mary; son Erik (of whom he was so proud); daughter-in-law Laura; beloved granddaughter Makenzie Rey; sister Pam; "brothers" Tom and John; and too many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to name. Of course his life would not have been the same without his Norwegian family. He cherished them all so dearly, and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them.
As one friend said, his spirit, courage and desire to continue to experience life in spite of the challenges of his illness will remain an inspiration to those who knew him.
