Santa Rosa Valley, CA

Frank Corrigan, beloved Rotarian, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, at his home in Santa Rosa Valley, surrounded by family. He was 80 years old.

He was born Frank Lynn Corrigan in 1942 in Pulaski, New York, to his parents Genevieve and Frank Corrigan. He had fond memories of his high school years playing football and being a member of the rifle shooting team, which later led to his passion of hunting. He always looked forward to returning for the Pulaski High School reunions and rarely missed one.

Frank served in the army for 4 years after high school and was stationed in Germany. After an honorable discharge he traded in the cold winters of New York for the California sunshine.

Frank was a master plumber. He successfully owned and operated Accurate Backflow Testing and Valve Repair for over fifty years in California.

Frank and Kathleen Corrigan were married in 1988. The two of them enjoyed many years of fishing on their boat, cross country road trips, and yes back to Pulaski for those high school reunions.

Many in the community will remember Frank as an active member and one-time club President of the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club. The Paul Harris award winner was often spotted working at the annual Chili Cook Off, as well as the Street Fair. He loved volunteering and donating to humanitarian causes.

He had many hobbies and interests that included reading, scuba diving, NASCAR racing, fishing, hunting, camping, bowling league and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kathleen Corrigan; four children, Scott Corrigan (Tina), Lorene Hillman (Todd), Patricia Succa (Chris), and Richard Mudd (Martha); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ellen Bellizzi (Joe), Joan Moore, and Carol Harrier (Don).

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25 at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, Newbury Park. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to be made to the Ventura County Special Olympics in honor of Thousand Oaks Rotary Foundation.
