She was a telephone switchboard operator for Pacific Bell, Rockwell Science Center and Northrup. She was so good at her job she was constantly being recruited by other companies. She took great joy in serving the students. On July 19, 1959 she married Ronald Lombard in Fillmore in a dual wedding along with his best friend Bill Winfrey and Loretta’s sister Patsy Campbell.
Loretta “Rado”, “Double L”, “Mimi”, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and an avid RV enthusiast. She enjoyed traveling the country with Ron for many months out of each year, developing life long friendships along the way. She was a member of the Ebell Club of Santa Paula, United Methodist Church of Newbury Park and the local PTA. She loved competing in bowling leagues, enjoyed tennis, sewing, arts and crafts and managing numerous girls’ Bobby Sox softball teams. She also loved oceanography and visiting the beautiful beaches and tidepools of California and Oregon. She enjoyed cruising as well. Some of her favorite cruises were through the Panama Canal to Cartagena Columbia, the Caribbean Islands, Baja Mexico and Alaska.
