Mary Nader, age 92, who loved to be called “Mama” by her kids, was born in Cairo, Egypt, on December 16, 1928, and departed her loving family on August 16, 2021, in Moorpark.
Mary was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Mary was mother to Joseph, Therese, and Johnny. She raised her children with love and devotion from Cairo to Los Angeles with her husband, Moussa, who preceded her in death in 2016. They were married in April 1950.
Mary, a devout Catholic, always prayed for her loved ones. Her strong faith in our Lord Jesus and the Blessed Mother protected and guided her family.
As a Homemaker, Mary was known for her Middle Eastern cooking and baking desserts. Her hobbies included crochet and sewing. She was most proud of becoming an American citizen.
Mary is survived by her brothers Joseph and Elie Boyadjian; two sons and a daughter; grandchildren Eddie, Margaret, Michael, and Tony; plus 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 32032 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village. Mary will be taken to her final resting place at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Simi Valley following the Mass.
