Robert A. Brown passed away on January 31, 2022 at his home with his family in attendance.

Bob was born on May 9, 1927 in Frackville, Pennsylvania to David and Barbara Brown.  He was the 6th of 8 children.  Bob joined the United States Navy in 1945 and served two years before leaving to attend college.  On August 25, 1951 he married Helen Snodgrass from Pittman, New Jersey.  Bob graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in the same year.  Bob completed medical school at Thomas Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia, PA in 1955.  Bob then returned to the United States Navy as an officer, retiring in 1973 as a Captain in the United States Navy.   During his time in the Navy he served in Vietnam as well as postings in Philadelphia, Bremerton, and San Diego.

After retiring from the Navy, Bob and Helen, settled in Thousand Oaks, CA.  Bob started his own medical practice as an OB/GYN.  Bob practiced medicine and delivered over 5,000 babies in the Conejo Valley until his retirement in 1995.  During his time as a practicing physician, Bob volunteered his services around the globe in places such as Nigeria, Honduras, and India.  Bob also donated his services to the Sisters of Notre Dame Convent.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Deborah Parmelee and husband Brian, Melissa Bowden and husband Jeff, and Diana Smith; grandchildren Craig, Rhiannon, Noelle, Karen, Cory, Eric, Ryan, and Tyler; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Brown, of 63 years; his siblings David, John, Paul, Milton, Beatrice, Barbara, and Isabella.
